Marklin of G\u00f6ppingen, Germany are the folks who designed and introduced Z scale to the world back in 1972.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"594\" height=\"341\" src=\"http:\/\/marklinzscale.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Marklin-Z-Scale-Logo1.jpg\" alt=\"Marklin Z scale model trains\" class=\"wp-image-9\" srcset=\"https:\/\/marklinzscale.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Marklin-Z-Scale-Logo1.jpg 594w, https:\/\/marklinzscale.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Marklin-Z-Scale-Logo1-300x172.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 594px) 100vw, 594px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Since the introduction of Z scale, other companies have joined the Z scale party. I myself started a well known Z scale store over a decade ago and built many layouts and dioramas in Z scale. In addition, I have a Z scale product line under our <a href=\"https:\/\/ztrains.com\/\">Ztrains<\/a> brand. These items are available now over at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zscalemonster.com\/ztrains\/\">Zscale Monster Trains<\/a>. I sold my Z scale store about a year ago and have decided to go a little old, a little new&#8230; back to Marklin Z scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">You can see some of our <a href=\"https:\/\/raildig.com\/?s=Marklin\">Marklin Z scale articles<\/a> on our flagship website, <a href=\"https:\/\/raildig.com\/\">Raildig<\/a>, including an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/raildig.com\/raildig-guest\/juergen-faulhaber-marklin\/\">Juergen Faulhaber<\/a>, the Marklin Z scale product manager. We contacted Juergen recently and we&#8217;ll be doing a little more chit-chat with him right here on this new website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">This site, Marklin Z Scale, will feature&#8230; as you&#8217;d guess, all things Marklin Z with a stong emphasis on the smaller Marklin locos, like the iconic Z scale 0-6-0.
