Hello, and welcome to Marklin Z Scale. This new site is one of several we’ve been busy whiteboarding over the past few months. After selling our online Z scale store about a year ago in 2025, we wanted to focus our plans going forward, and I think we’re there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We decided to launch \/ refresh several new websites in the following months:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Raildig<\/a>. This is our flagship site since 2001. Our plan is to completely refresh this site. It’s hard to believe but this site first went live years before responsive websites came into being!<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Ztrains<\/a>. This will be primarily an ecommerce store for our original Z scale accessories. We’ll be working with Zscale Monster Trains<\/a> on exclusive Ztrains releases going forward.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Marklin Z Scale<\/a>. This site of course. After working with other brands of Z scale for the past decade+, I thought it was the right time to go back to where Z scale came from… Marklin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Pizza Layout<\/a>. I’ve been crazy about Pizza Layouts since I first saw the Mark Fielder\u2019s Nn3 Pizza Layout. I was so taken with Pizza Layouts, I did an interview with Mark on our Raildig site, you can read that interview here: Pizza Layout interview<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. We have one more website in very early development. We’re still hashing this one out but simply put, we’re going to reach out to people who may not be involved in model railroading but share many of the same talents and aesthetic sensibilities. For years I’ve thought large companies involved in this hobby should be doing more of this, an outreach campaign of sorts. I believe in this idea so strongly that I’d like to try and put some of my ideas in action!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    YouTube Channels<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Raildig YouTube<\/a>. While not our website per se, a few years back we began our YouTube channel. Last year we loaded up for video editing with a new Sony video camera, a pair of M4 Mac Minis and associated software for editing and all the other goodies needed to produce high quality videos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Ztrains YouTube<\/a>. We’ll use this site to share our Ztrains product videos. It means a bit of extra video work here, but I know I like to see product videos for tips and techniques and I think others do as well.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Ok, I think that’s enough for a Sunday night at the keyboard. Now that we have the websites named and outlined, it’s time to wipe down the whiteboard and lay out the specific steps we need to achieve all of this. Please stop back soon to check our progress!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
