Marklin Z Scale Website

  • Well, This Is Old & New!

I’d call this going back to our roots in Z scale, 1:220 model railroading. Marklin of Göppingen, Germany are the folks who designed and introduced Z scale to the world back in 1972.

Since the introduction of Z scale, other companies have joined the Z scale party. I myself started a well known Z scale store over a decade ago and built many layouts and dioramas in Z scale. In addition, I have a Z scale product line under our Ztrains brand. These items are available now over at Zscale Monster Trains. I sold my Z scale store about a year ago and have decided to go a little old, a little new… back to Marklin Z scale.

You can see some of our Marklin Z scale articles on our flagship website, Raildig, including an interview with Juergen Faulhaber, the Marklin Z scale product manager. We contacted Juergen recently and we’ll be doing a little more chit-chat with him right here on this new website.

This site, Marklin Z Scale, will feature… as you’d guess, all things Marklin Z with a stong emphasis on the smaller Marklin locos, like the iconic Z scale 0-6-0. This is the loco that launched Z scale and we’re looking forward to lots of exciting work with today’s Marklin!
